It was developed around the 9mm Makarov PM pistol. The main difference is its increased magazine capacity. The pistol has a simple design, is easy to handle and is always ready for action. It has small dimensions and weight, is handy and fail-safe. The pistol has a hammer-type double-action trigger mechanism which enables the shooter to quickly open fire by directly pressing the trigger without pre-cocking the hammer. Safe handling of the pistol is provided by a reliable safety mechanism and the hammer moving automatically to the half-cock position when the trigger is released. -
5.45mm pistol The PSM is a personal offensive/defensive weapon. It is designed to engage enemy manpower at short distances. This is a self-loading weapon, in which all the pistol reloading and cocking functions are performed automatically upon firing. It has a hammer-type double-action (DA) firing mechanism that allows for single-shot fire, both with pre-cocking the hammer and in the DA mode. The pistol fires the MPTs (7N7) pistol cartridges with steel-core bullet and brass case. -
9mm Yarygin self-loading pistol The 9mm Yarygin PYa self-loading pistol designed to engage enemy manpower protected by Class 2 body armor at ranges up to 50 meters. The pistol is a semi-automatic double-action (DA) weapon. Its hammer-type trigger mechanism enables shooting from the cocked position and in the DA mode. The pistol has two safeties that are automatically disengaged: one - when the hand grasps the pistol grip and the other when the trigger is pressed before firing. There is also an ambidextrous manual safety switch on both sides of the frame.
