Shipborne combat-training aircraft Mission The MiG-29K/KUB shipborne aircraft/shipborne combat-training multirole aircraft is designed to handle fleet air defense missions, engage air targets in any weather, day or night, as well as destroy surface (ground) targets. Aside from accomplishing combat missions, the MiG-29KUB facilitates instruction and training of flying crews to fly and use the MiG-29K. The MiG-29K/KUB can effectively conduct such missions as combat air patrol, air target interception and destruction, striking against surface (ground) targets, air support of troops and landing forces, battlefield air interdiction and aerial reconnaissance. -
Combat-training fighter Mission The MiG-29UB combat-training fighter is designed to provide flight and operational training of flying personnel and conduct combat missions. The MiG-29UB can be effective in developing and improving pilot skills needed to fly, navigate, execute combat maneuvering and employ MiG-29 type fighters, both on solo and group missions. It can also be used to engage aerial and ground (surface) targets, conduct air support of ground troops and landing forces, battlefield air interdiction and aerial reconnaissance.

Training (combat-training) aircraft Mission The Yak-130 training (combat-training) aircraft is intended for flight and operational training of flying personnel as well as for performing combat missions. The aircraft is used to develop and improve pilot skills needed to fly, navigate and employ current and advanced combat aircraft. The Yak-130 can be effective as a light attack aircraft in engaging air and ground (surface) targets.
